Cameroon had announced the postponement to a “later date”, because of the Covid-19 pandemic , of the African Championship of Nations (CHAN) of football, which opposes national teams composed only of players playing in the African championships.
This decision was taken by the organizing committee “after taking stock of the exceptional situation arising from the coronavirus pandemic. The competition which was initially scheduled from April 4 to 25 in Cameroon.
According to our information the executive committee of the African Football Confederation and Cocan have jointly decided to schedule the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in SEPTEMBER 2020 in Cameroon, of course subject to the development of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Regarding the CAN 2021 rumors of postponements of the competition are going well at the moment, and our sources with the African Football Confederation have affirmed that there has never been any question of the postponement of the CAN.
