Press release on the CAF-FIFA partnership

The caf wishes to thank the President of FIFA and the Secretary General of FIFA for their commitment and involvement in the framework of CAF-FIFA cooperation for the development of African football.

After having noted the expiration of the CAF – FIFA cooperation agreement and after having read all of the reports, the executive committee of the African Football Confederation has decided on CAF – FIFA cooperation for an implementation phase and implementing reforms concerning:
1- arbitration
2- infrastructure
3- the competitions
4- governance on the basis of documents drawn up by the reform Task Force by:

Implementing immediately all the obvious aspects relating to financial and administrative management.

b ensuring the effective independence of the jurisdictional bodies as approved by the executive committee.

C continuing reflection and exchange on legal and statutory aspects.
