It is by a letter arrived in the mailbox of CAF from FIFA that the latter proposed to modify the statutes of the African Football Confederation, the letter below is indeed on March 11, 2021 at 5:41 p.m. the day before the general assembly that this project is submitted and proposed by FIFA.

Ladies and gentlemen, dear Secretaries General, dear delegates

We ask you to find attached in addition to the file of the general assembly, the proposals for modifications of the statutes of CAF which are submitted by the executive committee of CAF for the approval of the congress.

We also have the pleasure to remind you that the documents of the meeting are available and can be consulted on this link and also specify that the works will take place in the royal room of the hotel sofitel rabat at 10am (local time)

According to the statutes of the African Football Confederation in its article 17 paragraph 6 and 7

6. The formal convocation is made in writing at least sixty (60) days before the date fixed for the meeting. The agenda relating to the General Assembly is attached to the notice.

7. All documents relating to the general assembly are sent to members at least
thirty (30) days before the fixed date of the meeting.

these proposals coming from FIFA are inadmissible because they do not respect the statute. 60 days before, all amendment proposals must be submitted.

Article 44: THE GOVERNANCE COMMISSION

The Governance Commission deals with all CAF governance issues, it
also advises and assists the Executive Committee on these issues.

It sets up a control sub-committee which checks the eligibility of all
candidate for a seat on the CAF executive committee and recommend the results to the committee
executive as well as those of independence checks.
It also constitutes an ethics sub-committee in accordance with the code of ethics of
CAF.

Proposed text

These amendments to the statutes of CAF are a very serious obstacle to the statutes of the African Football Confederations which have the merit of being challenged before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
